I went in and had breakfaat a few weeks ago with my Mom and sister. Our food was really good, our waitress was Holly Wood and she was amazing, super nice and took care of us. The restaurant was clean and just a nice place to sit down and eat. we will be coming back soon and I hope we have the same waitress.

Just went with a large party of 20 to Black Bear Diner to celebrate a birthday. Our food was delicious! And always, the rotation sizes were huge! I would give 5 stars but they were out of ribs and prime rib (what the birthday girl wanted) and their pie selection was lean. Our server Sammy was phenomenal! They handled our large party with ease and were very polite and upbeat. It's a breath of fresh air to see such a happy server! One of the cooks came out twice (didn't catch the name) as well to make sure everything was in order). When you go, ask for Sammy! They will treat you right!

My family and I are frequent visitors, this is the only establishment I have a preference of a server. The last 10 months it's become our twice a week dinner spot! I ask the two kids where and without missing a beat "let's go eat with Holly. I'm thankful for her compassion with my autistic children. Holly doesn't just take our order and drop off food. There's a difference between treatment. Holly goes above and beyond, my kids eagerly share their successes. We've grown fawn of her, thank you Mrs. Holly for celebrating our little victories and remembering our special days. The food is delicious but most importantly thankful for the experience and we can't wait to celebrate our birthdays this weekend with her. Definitely going to grab this special again!

This was the seventh BBD I've visited and the food didn't disappoint, nor did the service given a busy Sunday morning. The hostess who seated us was also a bear enthusiast and wearing bear ears on her head. She was adorable and so I explained I like to wear the 10" bear paws they used to sell. This location was too busy for me to communicate like a bear with the server. The bear hostess was unique and fun. The wifi has a password and works, but both the gentleman's and ladies washrooms were disappointing. A carved wooden trio of cute bears greets you outside. They don't have a lot of merchandise at this location. Its nice and cool inside...bears don't like the hot Chico summer, either. If traveling, you can get an omelet with fruit and English muffin as a lighter option, which'll prevent early hibernation before you reach your den.
